I never thought Antwon would die at the hands of the police. I just knew that the environment that he was growing up in wasn’t the best for him. And I was afraid of what can happen with him just going outside. I spent years asking him, did he hear me? And I didn’t know ‘til the day after he died that he heard me all along.
